Retail and self-storage. studio c as the Architect of Record. Corporate-account work under U-Haul's national program. Convert a portion of the retail area into a caretaker quarter (R-2 and B), with accessibility and egress modifications. 2,350 sq-ft.

Office and medical device, studio c as the Architect of Record. Tenant improvement at 1725 De La Cruz Blvd for a medical-device company, carried through two permit revisions, including a design change during plan check. 4,200 sq-ft built out.

Chick-fil-A, drive-thru prototype

Quick-service restaurant The drive-thru line had outgrown the dining room, so this prototype deleted the dining room. Four drive-thru lanes, four delivery conveyors, and the kitchen moved upstairs. Every piece was componentized for prefabrication; the pilot launched in Texas. Project Manager, Project Frog

North America · Quick-service restaurant Jollibee's first North American drive-thru had to go up fast and still read as Jollibee. We built their prefabrication program: the brand's architectural features designed into components made for rapid installation. Project Manager, Project Frog

Walgreens Prototyps
North America · 9,761 and 2,500 sq ft · Retail Walgreens wanted stores it could roll out quickly, in two sizes. 1,352,000 sq ft · Office tower Seven levels of outdoor terraces stacked over fourteen floors, in downtown San Jose. I ran schematic design and the coordination between multiple municipal jurisdictions, the traffic consultant, and the landscape team; 840,000 sq ft of it is leasable office. A research campus for Shanghai's auto industry, laid out around small landscaped courtyards in the Jiangnan tradition: three office and hotel towers, with four lower blocks holding clubhouse, dining, retail, and R&D offices. A central gas power plant in the podium and basement supplies clean energy to more than 228,000 sq ft of R&D space.

Mission Bay, San Francisco · 220,000 sq ft · Lab-ready office · LEED Platinum
Built speculative and lab-ready for whichever biotech tenant came first. Kaiser Permanente liked the building and its position next to UCSF's Mission Bay campus enough to acquire the whole project for a new medical office. Nine stories, LEED Platinum NC. My part ran from concept development and schematic design through the bid set.
